Figure 1. Northern view of the Wash & Pack Pavillion on the Sustainable Student Farm (https://www.thefarm.illinois.edu) at the University of Illinois. This structure was designed and built by Professor Jeff Poss’ (https://www.jefferyspossarchitect.net) Small Studio Masters students. It is powered by off-grid solar panels and allows the farm manager to more easily wash and pack his harvest for sale. The southern end features wooden shelves where Fresh Press can store their drying or dried agricultural fibers before they are made into paper.
A long, one-story building framed in wood with translucent sides sits against a mid-day blue sky. There is gravel and some grass in front of it. A small green wagon and a wide makeshift wooden wheelbarrow are parked on the gravel.
